AFRIC AZOTE committed to helping children with cancer

On International Childhood Cancer Day, AFRIC AZOTE took part in a fundraiser organized by the Yayou Tidiane Association, a major event marked by solidarity, hope, and collective commitment.

This 10th edition was attended by Absa FAYE, First Lady of Senegal and patron of the event, whose constant support demonstrates the importance attached to the fight against childhood cancer at the highest level of government.

Through its participation, AFRIC AZOTE reaffirms its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and its desire to support initiatives with a strong social impact. Aware of the human, medical, and social challenges posed by pediatric cancer, the company places health, people, and solidarity at the heart of its vision and actions.

This meeting provided a unique opportunity for dialogue and mobilization around crucial issues related to the care of children with cancer. It was marked in particular by:

  • rich and constructive exchanges with healthcare professionals, social actors, institutional partners, and affected families;
  • a collective awareness of the persistent challenges related to access to specialized care, continuity of treatment, and medical follow-up for children;
  • a strong spirit of solidarity, aimed at supporting concrete actions to improve medical care, psychosocial support for families, and capacity building for healthcare facilities.

    By joining this fundraising effort, AFRIC AZOTE intends to actively contribute to the fight against childhood cancer by supporting initiatives that provide sustainable and tailored responses to the needs of patients and their loved ones. This approach is part of a broader vision of responsible development, where economic performance goes hand in hand with social impact and civic engagement.

    Through this type of action, AFRIC AZOTE reaffirms its belief that businesses have an essential role to play in building a more united, inclusive, and humane society. Supporting life, fostering hope, and working alongside communities remain fundamental pillars of the company’s commitment.
