As part of its CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) strategy, Afric Azote is actively committed to a more sustainable, humane, and environmentally friendly industry. Convinced that industrial performance must go hand in hand with a positive social impact, the company has launched a major initiative in support of its raw material suppliers.
Tricycles to replace carts: a step towards modernization and animal welfare
Until now, much of the fish waste collection in local markets was carried out using animal-drawn carts. Today, Afric Azote is changing the game by subsidizing modern tricycles for its collection partners.
Less animal suffering: End of the use of horse- or donkey-drawn carts.
More efficient logistics: Easier, faster transport that is better suited to the volumes involved.
Better hygiene: Reduced risk of contamination during collection.
A strong move towards the circular economy: Better use of fish waste.
Action in favor of the circular economy and recycling
By modernizing its collection methods, Afric Azote is helping to structure a sustainable industry for transforming fish waste into high-quality meal and oils. What was once waste is now a valuable resource for animal nutrition and responsible production.

Improving working conditions for partners: a concrete commitment
Beyond the environmental aspect, this initiative places people at the heart of Afric Azote’s model. The tricycles offer its partners:
A modern and ergonomic work tool
An improvement in their living conditions
Greater profitability for their activities
A stronger partnership with Afric Azote
An official handover ceremony marked by a spirit of sharing
During a ceremony organized with its partners, Afric Azote officially handed over the tricycles, symbolizing a concrete commitment to a modern, responsible, and collaborative industry.
“At Afric Azote, we believe that a successful industry is one that takes care of its partners, the environment, and animal welfare. “
With this initiative, Afric Azote reaffirms its role as a pioneer in responsible fishing in Senegal and Africa.
